In 2008, Jim Knight, who was a Minister for Education attended the GA Conference as part of an association with the GA which was developed as part of the Action Plan for Geography. There are several other occasions when politicians have been connected with GA activity, as part of the GA's policy work. He attended John Westaway's Presidential conference. We have also had Justine Greening doing a video session (a taste of things to come), and David Blunkett attended the official opening of Solly Street.
